Teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) key to achieve peace, progress: Gilani

Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are a foundation to achieve peace and security and lead Muslims to a new phase of progress and prosperity. Addressing the inaugural session of annual National Seerat Conference here at the Convention Centre on Saturday, he said life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) will be a source of cure for the miseries of humans as they will make advances in science and technology and the world will achieve more progress. The theme of this year’s conference was “strategy for call and preaching in the light of the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)”.

Gilani said, “We should know that life of Holy Prophet (PBUH) is like an open book whose no page is hidden from anybody and its every aspect is unblemished.”
The Prime Minister said Pakistan is faced with challenges and difficulties but it is still the centre of hopes for the Muslims of the world.
He assured that the government would accept every practicable suggestion for the promotion of teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Gilani said Islam teaches that everybody should be kind to each other without any discrimination and the basis of spreading of message of Islam is kindness and welfare of others and equality among all nations of the world.
He mentioned that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) showed that first teachings of the religion should be adopted by an individual in his home, then in his city and then it should be extended to the whole of humanity.
Islam urges its followers that they should invite others to goodness and stop them from bad acts and keep on making the struggle to lighten their path and that of others, he added.
The Prime Minister said main objective of the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was peace and security in the world and complete protection of the human race.
Through a comprehensive message, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) ushered in a revolution which closed for forever the path of killings, violence and chaos, he added.
He said it is a matter of concern that despite the fact that mosques, seminaries, shrines and religious parties are propagating the message of Islam, still there is presence of extremism and chaos in society.
He invited the participants of the conference to ponder whether their efforts were moving in the right direction, mistakes were being made or not and how faults could be removed.
Islam did not spread through sword but with the zeal of sufis and pious men who took Islam to places like Indonesia, Malaysia and Central Africa, he added.
He said the light of Islam spread to the land of Arabs during the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) but in his life too followers of Christians and Judaism were living among them.
During the 1500 year rule of Muslims, no one tried to forcibly make these people Muslims and today more than 18 million Christians and Jews are living in the Arabian Peninsula, he observed adding Muslims ruled the Indian sub-continent for 1000 years but in the region, majority of the population is still non-Muslim and this was not due to lack of love of Muslim rulers for their religion.
But the real reason was that Islam did not spread through force but people accepted it due to the personal character, decency, humanity and love shown by the sufis and religious scholars who kept burning light of Islam in the face of all kinds of difficulties, he added.
The Prime Minister distributed cash prizes among scholars for their books on the life and teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The Prime Minister expressed the hope that the scholars who attained prizes for working on various aspects of the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would continue their good work.
He said the personality of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was everlasting fountain of guidance and efforts by religious scholars and researchers to shed light on life of the last Prophet will continue for all times to come.
Prime Minister Gilani announced that the government would arrange for marriages of 5000 women this year with the money provided by Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal.
Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Zumard Khan in his remarks told that his organisation provided funds for marriages of 2500 women last year on the directions of President Asif Ali Zardari.
Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Dr. Fazal Elahi, Dr. Abdur Rauf Zafar, Tazeen Ansari, Musrat Kalanchvi, Mushtaq Kalhora, Manzar Ali Syed, Irshad Hussain, Ghulam Rasool, Laiqzada Laiq, Maulana Muhammad Naqibullah, Muhammad Yaseen, Nadir Shahwani, Dr. Nigar Sajjad Zaheer, Dr. Talat Siddiqui and Dr. Zainab Haroon were among the prize winners.
Minister for Religious Affairs Hamid Saeed Kazmi and religious scholars coming from all parts of the country attended the conference.

President for following Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) teachings for humanity’s well-being

President Asif Ali Zardari has stressed the need for following the teachings of the Last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (may peace be upon him) and promote his Usswah for the well-being of humanity. “There is a need to refrain from all the deeds that ruin human lives and values, respect and wealth because it is the basis of our religion and a source of well-being for all,” the President said in his message on Eid Milad un Nabi. The President said Eid Milad un Nabi is a day of immense joy and happiness for entire universe and particularly for the Muslim world.

He mentioned the historic facts about humanity passing through a black era, when sinister elements ruined human values and destroyed the structure of society and civilization.
He said Hazrat Muhammad (may peace be upon him) emerged as a saviour for the entire humanity at a time when every segment of life, all aspects of civilization and the society depicted a picture of atrocities.
President Zardari said the Last Prophet through his teachings saved the people from destruction and presented a concept of rights and responsibilities for the people in a society, which if followed creates harmony, balance and justice.
He said equality and brotherhood is the significant characteristic of the message of Hazrat Muhammad (may peace be upon him) as Islam brought all Muslims together in a row.
He mentioned the teachings of the Last Prophet who said that it is not the color, creed and wealth that make the criteria of esteem and respect, but the Taqwa – abstinence from bad deeds.
The President said Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (may peace be upon him) did not just profess the religion but presented it in a practical way before the world.
He prayed that may Allah Almighty guide everyone to follow the teachings of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (may peace be upon him.)

Gilani urges Muslims to follow teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that it is duty of Muslims that as followers of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), they should make all human beings abreast of the fact that Islam stands for love, peace, compassion, humility, and tolerance. In his message on the occasion of 12th Rabi-ul-Awal (Eid Milad-un-Nabi), he said on this day Almighty Allah sent into this world a personality who was conferred with the title of “ Rahmat-ulil-Aalamin from Allah and in whose person the whole humanity takes pride in the sense that he congregated them on a single platform.

“He imparted the people with a thought of welfare for the humanity. History is witness to the fact that people who were enemies of each other became hand in glove with each other,” he added.
He said, “it all happened because of the charm of a personality whose birthday we are celebrating today.”
The Prime Minister extended greetings to all Muslims on the auspicious day of the birth of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him).
The Prime Minister said in order to maintain the real and original spirit of Prophet’s message, therein lies the onus on Muslims to preach the golden principles of love and brotherhood unequivocally.
“We should not only be well-wishers of Muslim brothers but should practice these teachings while treating the non-Muslims as well. We should make our home and our country a place of peace,” he added.
After having a peaceful society, he said, the world will adhere to the message of Islam and will find a way out of the miseries of the world by practising the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Gilani said, “it is a befitting day to initiate this noble action, firstly turning ourselves in our homes into a visible example of the life of Prophet (PBUH) and then enabling us to spread it around the world.”
“When each one of us will sincerely become a model of the pious life of our Prophet (PBUH), our society would become an exemplary symbol of love, peace and prosperity.
“It is my sincere desire that it be so and it is our pray to Almighty Allah that our this dream become a reality (Amin),” he added.

وزیر داخلہ رحمان ملک نے ملک بھر کے پریس کلبوں میں سکیورٹی سے متعلق رپورٹ طلب کرتے ہوئے ان کی سکیورٹی کو مزید سخت کرنے کی ہدایات جاری کردی ہیں ۔ ایک پریس ریلیز کے مطابق وزیر داخلہ نے اپنے ایک بیان میں پشاور پریس کلب پر خود کش حملے کی سخت مذمت کرتے ہوئے آئی جی صوبہ سرحد سے واقعہ کی رپورٹ طلب کرلی ہے ۔

انور منصور خان ملک کے نئے اٹارنی جنرل

وزیراعظم یوسف رضا گیلانی نے سینئر وکیل انور منصور خان کی بطور اٹارنی جنرل پاکستان تقرری کی منظوری دے دی ہے جس کے بعد اسٹیبلشمنٹ ڈویژن نے ان کی تعیناتی کا نوٹیفیکشن جاری کر دیا ہے۔

یہ عہدہ سابق اٹارنی جنرل لطیف کھوسہ کی بطور وزیراعظم کی قانونی مشیر تعیناتی کے بعد سے خالی تھا۔

نئے اٹارنی جنرل انور منصور خان ماضی میں سندھ ہائی کورٹ کے جج اور سابق ایڈووکیٹ جنرل بھی رہ چکے ہیں۔

انہوں نے اپنے کیریئر کی ابتدا بطور فوجی کیپٹن کی اور وہ انیس سو اکہتر میں پاکستان اور بھارت کے درمیان ہونے والی جنگ میں بھی حصہ لے چکے ہیں۔ انیس سو تہتر میں انور منصور خآن فوج سے مستعفی ہوگئے تاہم انہیں اکتوبر سنہ چوہتر میں ہی فوج سے ریلیز کیا گیا۔

انور منصور خان کے والد منصور خان سپریم کورٹ کے سینئر وکیل تھے۔ فوج سے ریٹائرمنٹ کے بعد انور منصور نے بھی اسی پیشے کو اپنایا اور انیس سو اکیاسی میں وکالت کی ابتدا کی۔ انیس سو تراسی میں انہیں ہائی کورٹ کے لیے انرول کیا گیا جبکہ سنہ دو ہزار میں انہیں سندھ ہائی کورٹ کا جج مقرر کر دیا گیا مگر اگلے ہی سال وہ

ان کے ساتھی وکیل اور ہائیکورٹ بار کے سابق صدر ابرار حسن کے مطابق سقوط ڈھاکہ کے وقت انور منصور خان بنگال میں تھے جہاں سے انہیں جنگی قیدی بناکر بھارت لے جایا گیا تھا۔مستعفی ہوگئے

بعد میں دو ہزار دو میں انہیں سندھ کا ایڈووکیٹ جنرل مقرر کیا گیا مگر اس عہدے سے بھی انہوں نے دو ہزار سات میں وہ استعفٰی دے دیا۔ اپنے اس استعفے کی بنیاد انہوں نے سندھ حکومت کی جانب سے قانونی رائے نہ لینا بتایا تھا، جبکہ بعد میں ایسی خبریں بھی آئیں کہ ان کے سندھ کے وزیراعلیٰ ارباب غلام رحیم سے اختلاف پیدا ہوگئے تھے۔

استعفے کے بعد انہوں نے جنرل پرویز مشرف کی جانب سے جاری کیے گئے عبوری آئینی حکم ( پی سی او ) کو سندھ ہائی کورٹ میں چیلنج کیا تھا اور اسے سپریم کورٹ کی جانب سے تین نومبر کو جاری کردہ حکم نامے کے متصادم قرار دیا تھا۔

دو وزراء مملکت کے محکمے تبدیل

پاکستان کے وزیر اعظم یوسف رضا گیلانی نے بدھ کی شام کو دو وزراء مملکت کے محمکے تبدیل کردیے ہیں جبکہ ایک ریٹائرڈ جج کو سیکریٹری قانون تعینات کیا گیا اور تین وفاقی سیکریٹریوں کو تبدیل کردیا گیا۔

وزیر مملکت برائے قانون و انصاف افضل سندھو کو ریلوے کا وزیر مملکت بنایا گیا ہے جبکہ پارلیمانی امور کی وزیر مملکت مہرین انور راجہ کو قانون اور انصاف کے محکمے بھی سونپے گئے ہیں۔

دو ہفتوں میں یہ تیسری مرتبہ ہے کہ وزراء کے محکموں میں تبدیلی کی گئی ہے۔ اس سے قبل وزیر اعظم یوسف رضا گیلانی نے چھ وزراء کے محکموں میں رد و بدل کیا تھا۔

یاد رہے کہ افضل سندھو نے اکیس نومبر کو ایک نیوز کانفرنس میں این آر او سے فائدہ اٹھانے والے کوئی آٹھ ہزار افراد کی فہرست جاری کی تھی۔ اس فہرست میں صدر آصف علی زرداری، متحدہ قومی موومنٹ کے سربراہ الطاف حسین اور پیپلز پارٹی اور ایم کیو ایم سے تعلق رکھنے والے بعض وفاقی وزراء کے نام بھی شامل تھے۔

سیاسی تجزیہ نگاروں کا کہنا ہے کہ افضل سندھو کی طرف سے این آر او سے فائدہ اٹھانے والے افراد کی فہرست جاری کرنے کے بعد بعض وفاقی وزراء اور افضل سندھو کے درمیان تناؤ پیدا ہو گیا تھا اور ان کا کہنا ہے کہ ان کے محمکے کی تبدیلی کا ایک سبب یہ بھی ہوسکتا ہے۔

وزیر اعظم یوسف رضا گیلانی نے ریٹائرڈ جسٹس محمد عاقل مرزا کو سیکریٹری قانون و انصاف تعنیات کیا ہے اور پارلیمانی امور کی ذمہ داریاں بھی ان کو دی گئی ہیں۔

اس کے علاوہ تین وفاقی سیکریٹریوں کو تبدیل کردیا ہے۔ سیکریٹری قانون و انصاف جسٹس ریٹائرڈ ریاض کیانی کو تبدیل کرکے انسانی حقوق ڈویژن کا سیکریڑی مقرر کیا گیا ہے۔ اور سیکریٹری پارلیمانی امور محمد حفیظ الرحمان کو سیکریٹری سیاحت تعینات کیا گیا ہے۔ سیکریٹری برائے انسانی حقوق محمد فرید خان کو پاکستان سائنس فاونڈیشن کا چیئرمین مقرر کیا گیا ہے۔
